Danse Macabre

"You will not live to forty,"
She said quietly...
Her voice was hoarse
In an attempt to converse
With the people from her visions.
Or was it all a daydream,
A hallucination by the stream
Of unconscious thoughts
Running through cerebral realm...

But she could see them,
She remembered the first time
She ever had that experience.
She did not call them;
They just appeared
In the reflection of a mirror.
There was one so distinct,
His grin froze her blood,
Bald and short,
Yet stronger that most.
Even far away from mirrors
They followed her still.
Next she knew darkness all that fell.
Awakened by another dark hill..
They visited twice more,
But messages they never bore...

Intuition gave way to superstition.
"Never predict your death. It's bad omen."
Living or dead, it makes no difference.
Unlucky with love she has always been.
She loved a hundred times before,
But no man could her adore.
She is weird, funny, and sarcastic,
Nevertheless she is also fantastic.
Living or dead, it makes no difference.
No father nor mother would be moved.
Never proud despite all efforts.
They were always pushing her
Towards the edge of compromise.
Comparison was their weapon,
To strip away all her reason.

There is only one that might remember
All the good she could surrender.
A friend that lasted for year
Despite separation and long despair.

"Fool yourself not by false hope,"
Said the voice with hand on shoulder,
"No one will miss a girl like you."
"Special, Oh yes, but never true."
"You never loved and never hoped"
"That life would give you forever more."
"Your fears would take so many shapes"
"I am but one, a face, a voice, a mishap."
"Deny me. Still, I'll come again,"
"And you will see further disdain."

"You will not live to forty,"
She hoarsely said and quietly...
A voice replied, so sure, so stern:
"To predict one's death is bad omen,"
"So stop these nonsense lies woven"
"By devil or insecurities your own."
"Forget not all you have done."
"Be strong, be faithful, be sane."
"The world listens not to an insane."

She waited a while to hear the voices.
She never stopped weighing her choices.
Looking about her, she found no being,
To confirm anything that she was hearing.
Her sight had always been slowly fading,
But no sight needed as night starts falling.
The drapes of darkness had taken all time,
And sleep was calling to claim her prime.

"Good night sweet love, you had a chance."
"Now all things given, let's end our dance."

Illness

You're stealthy,
Creeping in me,
Growing slowly,
In my body.

You're hateful,
And quite painful.

Are you my poison?
Or my salvation?

I don't know why
You've come to be.
I care not of your agenda,
Just leave my body!

Butterfly Doll

Cannot breathe…
I’m a prisoner,
Trapped in this life.
A butterfly caught
In this artificial Web.
They call it home –
This box –
This Dollhouse.
It is my jail.

I can only exist
Through these words
Shinning
On the screen
You’re staring at…
I am free here,
I speak my mind
With clarity
And honesty…

I summon you here
To embrace me,
Kiss away my tears,
And curve a smile
On this scored heart.
Bring it to life
With your pulse..
Surge through this body…

Break away all bars.
Let me fly,

Forever free…

Inspired by Kristy Rulebreaker's "The wind has lost his mind"

Haunted by the infinite
Presence of your spirit
Your echo takes all forms
Within my visionary domes
My dreams try to restrict
A part of me so addict
Constantly seeing you
Within the morning dew
Do come to me again
Or I might go insane
Please don't leave me alone
As I sit by your tombstone
With bouquets just for you
Embracing the morning dew

Fireworks

This poem is about a crime committed against an old friend. Her story is not over...

Can you see me?

Look at me!
You’ve lit a flame in me,
Set the fuse,
Held the torch,
Swore eternal love for me,
Promised to protect me.

I’ve always planned to love
Before you took my hearth.

I had a dream
To be my beloved’s wife,
To bear his offspring,
To care for him,
And cherish every moment
I spend with him…

One day,
Just a single moment,
When people were far away,
A monster in the night,
You stole away my purity,
In the dead of night.

Couldn’t comprehend,
What was happening to me.
Could never understand,
Your shamelessness!
You were the wolf
In sheep's skin,
Only I could see
Through your disguise…

Years of abuse,
And insecurity,
Neglect and fear.
Years of lies,
Piling up,
Clotting my growth,
Crippling my mind,
Demolishing my happiness…

I draw air
But can’t breathe.

It grows slowly
Inside me.
A spark of fury.
My suspended mourning
For a youth stolen,
For an innocence tainted,
For a soul scarred…

Look at me now!
As I blast
Before the whole world,
Telling of your sins
Against a ten year old,
Against your flesh
And your blood,
Against your first
And only
Daughter.

Can you see me?
The ghost of your sin
Will scatter in all corners
Let the truth shine
Lighting the darkness
Caused by your lies…

My truth
Forever shines…
Can you see
My shimmering
Bravery?
Can you see me?

Alive

You find yourself
Fighting
Constantly
That eternal internal battle...

The line between
Good and evil
Often blurs
Living among people
Reminding of a painful past_
An even more painful future
Yet to come

Let us try
Just once_
Seeing the light
Without closing our eyes_
To curve
A truthful smile

Let us
Just once
Stop mourning
A childhood
Broken by
Harassment and
Hatred...

Let us join
Hands
In joy
To have
Survived...

We
Are
Alive!
